I meant to read this last month for our KMM spotlight, but didn't get it done in time. I'd forgotten how much I adore this book. When I think of the Highlander series I generally think of Kiss as the first good book, but despite some issues with this one it still tugged at me.I think because Cin is such an exceptional hero. Despite the times and his own nature, his one thought is to care for Lisa and see her happy. I especially loves the way he looks after her as she grieves, taking care to give her space but also be there when she needs him. Although cheesey, the bond between Cin and Lisa is another point in favor of this book. I love that they connect on such a level, and care so much for one another.
