Another great classic Howell read. I adore Saxan. She's strong and forthright, which is great considering the times. Boltof is a good hero for her, though I do think she's the star of the show and he's more a placeholder. Since I read these books for the heroines, I'm ok with that. The story is a predictable Howell, but it's told in an excellent way. I'm glad I re-read it.
