Black Hills
Having grown up in the Black Hills kind of ruined some of my enjoyment. Though I think NR handled certain aspects of it well, overall I was unimpressed with her knowledge. Mostly little things bothered me, things people unfamiliar with the area wouldn't understand.The suspense was done well (as it usually is with her) and I really enjoyed the relationships between the characters. The choices the hero made when he was younger bothered me, but I was able to move past it (eventually) and enjoy the romance. Overall not a bad book, but not the best I've read.
