I'm so angry with myself for not reading this sooner. I absolutely adored it. It was so good, in fact, that I stayed up until 6 a.m. to finish it.Normally heroines like Bailey - who are jaded and cynical about men based on things that happened in their childhood - would annoy me, but she didn't. I think Ridgway did an excellent job of writing her as a balanced character. Yes, she was afraid of commitment and getting her heart broken, but that didn't stop her from caring. Sometimes in spite of herself, but still. Finn. I loved loved loved Finn. Right from the beginning he grabbed me and wouldn't let go. He was the one who had reason to be bitter and cynical, but he wasn't..he was just absolutely the perfect blend between strong and caring. The secondary story between Bailey's mom and step-dad was sweet, too.
